About Rabindranath Tagore
Do you know Shanti Niketone, another city in Kolkata and Delhi that the 22nd members visited in the summer of 2018? Shanti Niketan is actually one of the cities that the oriental art historian Okakura Tenshin has visited, but it is also one of the places that played an important role in the history of Japan-India relations. The reason is that Rabindranath Tagore (born May 7, 1861) , the founder of Tagore International University, which Shanti Niketan is proud of, lived in the city.
A video created by Deepro Banerjee (21) who participated in the Japan-India Student Conference for the 22nd and 23rd terms about Tagore, the Nobel Prize in Literature, who is famous as the first Nobel Prize winner in Asia in 1913. Is also listed on You Tube. If you are interested, please watch the shortened version first.
